Rachael - have you ever considered giving any tips on drawing? I'd love some tips on how to draw the wonderful clothing!

Any advice would be much appreciated. I haven't drawn much in a while, but I'm hoping so start again when my exams are over.

Yeah, I've been wanting to draw in the manga/anime style for ages and I've just about managed to find stuff on how to draw in the right style and I'm finding my own style as I go along. Still need some of the right drawing materials etc, but clothing is often the hardest part to draw... and getting the body proportions right!

Theres loads of books you can buy that teach you drawing. I've had some life drawing lessons and I found that really helps with proportions too.
Not really much help but just my opinion!
Good luck with your drawings, maybe you could post some I'd love to see them!

Is there anyway you can upload pics from your pooter to this? I don't have a website with any of these pics on so I can't put a URL. Why does everything have to be on a site?

you can use my login. I'll PM you with the details. I can't figure out any other way to share them. I don't have a website I can put them on.

Thanks for letting me use your login details! Your drawings are really great!
I love the big anime eyes and as weird as this may sound, I really love the way you draw lips - something I've never quite got the hang of!
Thanks for showing me your work! It's great!

if you have trouble with body proportions, you coult try getting one of those wooden mannequins - they're useful especially if you want your character to have more dynamic posing, that and practising practising practising!
back when i did my gcse art (aw, boo, that was 5 years ago - i'm making myself feel old) my teacher recommended copying images from magazines and photographs to help understand anatomy, thus helping with proportions. clothes can be difficult, i have to admit. you just have to try imagine how the material would hang on the body, but that is easier said than done!

there's a few more pics I've done on the site now. I got my inks in the post yesterday so I've finally been able to do some decent stuff instead of struggling with a pencil and a not-very-fineliner pen! www.members.tripod.com/weenieweb/artwork.htm
