Hi I just joined and was browsing through the forums when i read this topic.I looked and couldn't find anything except a crudley drawn picture of the deathrock chick that didn't looklike her at all. I couldn't find the picture of lucia either except some weirdio copying her pose.So i don't understand what everyone is so worked up about. It was wrong of them to try to copy you but i don't think you have anything to worry about because they couldn't draw to save their lives!

... i don't understand what everyone is so worked up about. It was wrong of them to try to copy you but i don't think you have anything to worry about because they couldn't draw to save their lives! it's not whether these images have been done badly, it is that people have tried to copy them at all, especially those trying to make a profit from them - Rachael has ever right to be proud of her work and expect it to be treated properly. I am sure if someone were to rip off something that you had done (an essay, picture, research, anything) and got praise or money or both for something that you had put the effort into you would be fairly hacked off too. I know people claim that imitation is a form of flattery, but the infringement of copyright is just not on, especially when it affects small businesses like Rachel's.

Yeh, it would have been different if they'd asked first I guess. People on the board ask Rach to modify some of her images to get them as tattoos, and she's fine with that. You just can't go and steal someone's work though I'd be filled with rage if someone in my art class got credit for one of my pictures or designs.. >_< These people don't deserve to use Rach's images!!

Hi everyone Nope, nothing new has surfaced as yet, which is good (but doesn't mean there aren't people using my work, but I try not to think about that!!). My main issue is with people making money from my work. That is something I will not tolerate. While it saddens me that people stoop so low, it doesn't surprise me. Icons I can live with, although people do often forget to give credit, which is a bit off. Mostly I just ask for the respect that if you like my work enough to be represented by it then the least you can do is let people know where it came from. Unfortunately there are a great many people who don't give a hoot about such things, and I find that a bit rubbish. Really appreciate people keeping their eyes open for new offenders though. Being reminded that not everyone is out to get me and screw me over is nice Rach

Being reminded that not everyone is out to get me and screw me over is nice It's a shame that as a result of a few narrow minded people you have to feel that way, you should be able to show off your work and be proud of it, without the feeling that some a$$hole is going to stab you in the back! Easier than it probably is to do, you have to remember that there are more people out there who appreciate your work and treat it properly than those who don't, but i'm sure you know that already! your growing fan-base here testifies to that

now inkmonster.com is ripping off Yashimoto Nara with their Sugar Hiccup property. I sent them an e-mail about it.
They are now pushing heavily to license that character -- they need to be stopped.
